TERRA NOVA RESIDENCE
Helena & Victor House
Lisbon, Portugal

Project Details:
A coastal retreat designed with architectural restraint and poetic emotion. Maisonluxe led the full design — from structure to interiors — ensuring every element resonated with the surrounding landscape. The home’s sculptural form embraces the Atlantic horizon, creating an uninterrupted connection between the natural and the built.

Project Overview
Terra Nova rests upon a cliff, where architecture meets the horizon. The home captures the drama of the sea while preserving the calm of interior life.
Designed as an open composition of terraces and voids, it connects elemental forces — ocean, wind, and stone — into a singular emotional language.
Design Approach
Maisonluxe framed the design around contrast: mass and transparency, solitude and exposure.
Local limestone, limewashed plaster, and aged oak form a tactile narrative that feels rooted yet fluid.
Details
Daylight becomes the main material. Its changing quality sculpts the home through time — from dawn’s reflection on water to dusk’s golden afterglow.
Every wall, every cut, speaks of permanence and pause.
